Well, the house hunting game is finally over. We thought we had found the perfect house, but the sellers backed out a few days before closing. If you do not want to get an ear full, I suggest not asking either one of us about the details! So, we set out again to look for another home, and fortunately found one that is better than the first. It is a cute one story with almost 3 bedrooms and a bath and half. And, most importantly, it has an even bigger yard for, what will be, the first additions to the new Grafton family.
We are looking to add two wonderful additions to the family by next year.... weimaraner puppies. Jen bartered two
dogs by scrapping the "let's get a cat" idea. Weimaraners are active dogs, traditionally used for hunting, and should be a great addition to the family by next Christmas. While we had originally decided to name them California and Virginia in honor of our home states, a friend of ours, Adam Jortner, suggested we name one Aquaman in honor of the underappreciated superhero. So, Aquaman and Virginia Grafton it will be.
The other "exciting" news is that we have decided to run the Nashville
Country Music Marathon in Nashville, Tennessee on April 29, 2000. While you are correct in
assuming that we are absolutely nuts to agree to do this, hopefully the support of 8
friends from our church should make the experience wonderful. While Ben may actually make
it, Jen is counting on the country bands stationed at every mile marker and the plethora
of running Elvises to keep her going the entire 26.2 miles.
