We
are getting married President's weekend of 2000 in Lafayette, California at Our Savior's
Lutheran Church at 5:00 p.m. We are lucky enough to have our pastor from Virginia, Rod
Stafford, agree to fly out with his wife Donna to perform the service. We are also blessed
to have Chris and Rachel Joyner agree to come out for the wedding. Chris is the amazingly
talented music minister at our church who is going to dazzle the guests during the
ceremony. For the curious, Jen's maid of honor is Leigh Sorensen, a friend from the
University of Puget Sound. Her bridesmaids are all high school friends: Hilary Andron,
Sarah Miller, and Lauren Massie. Ben's best man is Tom Pounder, a friend from his high
school church youth group. His groomsmen are Robb Rosell, a friend from the College of
William & Mary, his brother Geoff, and Jen's brother Scot. Jennifer and Ben's friends
from college, Lisa Galicia and Rob Rudin, have also graciously agreed to participate in
the ceremony by reading scripture.
The Reception will immediately follow the ceremony at Casa de la Vista, the former Navy
Officer's Club on Treasure Island. While I haven't actually seen it myself, I hear the
view at night from the reception hall is absolutely amazing.
For our honeymoon, we will be spending the week following the wedding in a beautiful
stone house in Carmel overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Here is a picture of what Carmel
looks like. We are fortunate to have such a great location where we can spend our
first week of marriage!
Here are a few pictures of family and people in the wedding.
